Carol has been working on reception here at Folly since 2013 and really enjoys her reception work meeting all the lovely pets and owners. Carol has 2 dogs of her own, Sam who is a Springer aged 14 yrs and Meg, a cross between a Springer and a Pointer aged 7yrs. Carol can be seen walking them both over the Malvern Hills most mornings.
Carols other passion is singing, she is in 3 choirs at the moment, one being Tewkesbury Choral Society. When at home, carol likes nothing more than pottering in her garden- flowers are the favourite!
Marty was lucky enough to grow up on a smallholding in the Welsh borders surrounded by poultry, goats, ponies and numerous house pets, but now tries to stick to just dogs and cats!
Marty has an eclectic work history from book buyer, to boarding kennels through to working at the Welsh Mountain Zoo!
Marty’s work as a veterinary receptionist allows her to combine her passions of animals and meeting people. She has a ‘motley collection of scruffs’ at home, three bouncy terrier crosses and a gentle, shy Irish dog of no discernible breed! Left to her own devices Marty would have a house full of charity cases, but as her neighbours already call her ‘Marty the dog lady', she is cautious of taking on any more!
Jacquie has recently joined the reception team here at Folly. She previously worked as a teaching assistant for 16 years but has decided to follow her dream career of working as a veterinary receptionist.
Over the years, Jacquie has enjoyed doing voluntary work at both Cotswold Farm Park and Cheltenham Animal Shelter, as well being employed as a secretary/receptionist at a major bank and insurance company.
Jacquie has two rescue dogs and a beautiful part-Siamese cat. She enjoys walking in the countryside, reading and camping.
