Neutering / Spaying / Castration
Canines
Un-neutered female dogs are much more susceptible to unwanted pregnancies, womb infections, breast cancer and as such we recommend they are neutered.
We normally recommend that bitches are allowed to have one season before they are spayed to reduce the chance of "post-spaying incontinence".
Un-neutered male dogs are prone to aggression problems, prostatic, testicular and other diseases. To prevent these problems we advise castration at around six to twelve months.
Of course, each pet is different and we are more than happy to discuss your individual requirements.
