Cats are vulnerable to developing a condition called ‘Hyperthyroidism’ as they get older. It occurs when their thyroid gland becomes overactive and forces their metabolism to go too fast. They often have a really good appetite but lose weight, can become very vocal and over-active, and sometimes suffer with vomiting or diarrhoea.
The good news though is that it is very easy to diagnose and there are lots of options for treatment! If you think this might describe your pensioner puss-cat, give us a ring and let’s book them in for a check-up!
